Types and Characteristics of Norwegian Trolls

When it comes to the Norwegian trolls, they can be categorized into two major types which are “Mountain Trolls” and “Woodland Trolls”. So what are the differences between the two?

Let’s first start with the Woodland type of trolls. These creatures prefer to live in the thick forest of Norway. They use trees to hide themselves as they move from one place to another. In terms of their sizes, the largest specie of a Woodland troll can grow as high as the tallest tree around the forest.

But, what you might not want to know is that, majority of the giant Woodland trolls are carnivores. Thus, they hunt for animals in the forest for their flesh meat. They actually eat any type of flesh meat which doesn’t have to be from animals.

On the other hand, there are also Woodland trolls with human and dwarf sizes. These mystical creatures’ preferred type of food they eat remains unknown.

As for the Mountain type of trolls, these creatures are far more superior in terms of their sizes and brute strength. So if it happens that a giant Mountain troll will come across and face a Woodland troll in a physical combat, chances are, the Woodland troll will be defeated.

If the Woodland trolls needs to hunt for their food in order to satisfy their hunger, the Mountain trolls are a lot different. They can actually eat anything that they can grab on their hands which include rocks. Hunting for meat is just an option for them. So if they feel a bit lazy, they can just fill their hungry stomach with plenty of rocks and they will be just fine.

How about the characteristics of Norwegian trolls?

The only available information that we have are the characteristics of the giant Norwegian trolls. As for the human and dwarf sized trolls, they are a bit mystical in nature the reason why there is insufficient information about the description of their characteristics.

Norwegian Giant Trolls are Dumb

It is indeed true that despite the massive sizes of the Norwegian giant trolls, their large skull does seem to contain small brains. They are incapable to think logically where they are no different from wild animals who only crave for their food.

Trolls are Mammals

As I describe above, they are like wild animals which is completely a similar behavior to the mammals.

Life Span of 1000 to 12,000 Years of Age

You may be surprised to know that a Norwegian giant troll can reach an age of 1,000 to 12,000 years old. This makes them ancient creatures.

Daylight can instantly kill them

Trolls will never allow themselves to be exposed under the light of the day because this can instantly kill them. Thus, they only come out at night to explore and hunt for their food.

Disfigured Physical Appearances

Norwegian giant trolls have physical appearances that are closely similar to the human body features. However, their appearances are more completely disfigured and disproportionate. They have facial structures such as large nose, jutting lower jaws, and protruding jaws. To make it short, they look terrifyingly super ugly creatures.
